Webb4 feb. 2016 · At 121,000 miles I finally replaced the front struts and rear shocks and now have a popping noise when making a hard left turn at slow speeds. I know there is a lot written about this but I don't see anything loose or wrong. The sway bar links appear to be tight and not worn out. Webb22 juli 2024 · At the rear, there are many spots where noise can begin. All the radius rods and trailing arms have rubber bushings at both ends. Most of these have a metal insert at the center and those can separate from the rubber, usually after the metal inserts rust-weld themselves to the connecting bolts. WebbToss some weight in the rear seat and see if the noise changes or goes away. It could be the seat retainer clips or something loose under the seat. It could be that the other noises masked it and now you hear it because they are gone. It is also possible it is something in the trunk or in the door and it is telegraphing the sound.
